Coming up on 6 months

My longest time sober was 9 months. Seems to be coming up pretty fast, as I still remember the last day I drank which got me locked up and a down spiral of events. So just to give an update I'm still on the search for work with nothing in sight. Yes I'm sober today, but jobless tomorrow. I'm sure many understand and have been in this predicament and know it is not an easy overnight fix. I've never in my life gone this long without work. Only reason I'm not living in a shelter is because of my wife. A lot has happened there, but we are still together. An antidepressant pill won't fix how I feel. It is damn near impossible to be upbeat this time of the year considering my state.

Anyhow just checking in.

Congrats on 6 months. The good news is once you land a job you'll have no problem holding it down with booze out of your life. Also it's great that your wife stuck by you. Many don't. Keep up the good work!

Congratulations on 6 months getright. Sending positive vibes on the job front from London.

Quitting is hard, you can be proud of yourself on that score and job hunting is not all in our own hands so as long as you are putting the effort in then the lengthy waiting time is not down to you (frustrating though it is)

Fingers crossed.
