Field Trip
Hi,
just got on my knee's and asked for help. I have to venture out to my interview - I believe alone in a town where nobody knows me.
I hope to stick with my plan. Come straight home and attend a meeting.
Boy am I itchy to get out of this house/ visit the bright lights somewhere. (in my diseased mind is a dark bar room w/potato skins)
Keep the course and there are meetings later today I can attend.
I am more nervous about after the interview than the interview.
But will entertain that feeling of "relief" I believe I should be awarded after. NOOOOOOOO no more I really want sobriety more than I want to drink at this moment... Repeat today at 12n.

Good luck. Your Higher Power will be right with you to guide you. Get to a meeting after. There is nothing but misery and despair waiting for you in a dark bar and a bottle. We have to go through the uncomfortableness to get to the other side. It is the only way and it is done a day at a time. You are doing it and getting stronger everyday!!

Made it to the meeting- home Sober
Of course it was challenging. This board helped alot .
So grateful to report today was a success and the interview went
well too

I'm so glad to hear this, that both the interview and 'after the interview' went well. Good for you for recognizing it would be a tough day and preparing yourself. I hope you get the job.

Excellent, Faith! Glad all went well, but even if it hadn't, it's so much easier to face problems and setbacks while sober! It's great that you're posting every day, that's how it's done!
