Please do not. You are just going to make yourself sick/nausea/fatigue/etc............and you could die. Please nurse a cold glass of water and try to get some rest. Congrats on 10 months sober that is remarkable. I am on day 32.

Here's a helpful hint Anvil, don't ever, ever, ever suggest that you can see into my life.

I tried to do my best as a good AA member and in return was bullied.

So, frankly, cool it with the patronising b.s..
Hi,

I think this post was an effort to support you. And people in AA who have quality sobriety are not faking it. They are truly happy and relieved because they have realized there is another way to live. They are happy that they do not have to exist in the drinking hell that I have continued to put myself through the last 15 years. I bet your shares helped alot of people. I get a lot out of certain shares and the person sharing is none he wiser.
I am routing for you!

Sortofhomecomin, I'm sorry that you are struggling and that you felt bullied at AA.

I can understand your frustration. But, the bottom line is that I hope you don't give up, ever. It could be that you need to add something to your life to help bring some joy to your life. It could be that you might want to try a different program than AA. But, keep trying to find something that works for you because you are worth it.

And, if a member's posts upset you, you can always make use of the Ignore function.

I'm not sure what you are trying to do here, but you really need to stop it.

Are you trying to kill yourself? Do you realize that an overdose of duloxetine (Cymbalta) can cause seizures? Cymbalta does not cause a high when it is taken in large doses.

Exactly. I am far more concerned about what is happening right now as opposed to what will happen in the future. You are making comments that concern us. What can we do to help? Keep posting here! It helps more than you realize.

Just stop already. None of these things will get you high anyway and you are only seriously endangering yourself. Go to bed. Or the the ER if you have continued to take. I've gone when I could not afford it. Debt you can cope with.

Good Grief. Don't take ibuprofen to get high. It can cause internal bleeding, and it won't work to get you high anyway. Large amounts probably cause other problems too.

I hope you are ok today. Early sobriety can be tough. It takes time. It can take different time for all of us too.

When I cleaned up from drugs some years ago it took me around 18 months to step out of the darkness. I used to wake up every morning wishing I was dead but gradually I came out of the other side and I started to enjoy life again.

On reflection, I probably could have got some help with that. These days if I needed extra help to get through the day whether it is anti-depressants from GP or counselling or something else then I would probably do that rather than endure pain.

Overdosing on ibuprofen actually can kill you. One of my best friends went that way, five years, two months, and seven days ago.

She wasn’t high as she died. Her organs all failed and it went on for many hours. Doctors said it was a horrible death.

Please go to the ER.

I'm sorry to hear this- I had hoped this thread was one about what it can do to our livers, which is not good if they've been as compromised as mine was.

Anytime I have a wish or intention of escapism, it's a big flag. Maybe particularly on a substance that isn't going to give me a high.

I agree with all that our wise Dee said, too.

Well, there's no more ibuprofen in the house and I won't buy anymore, lesson learned. I didn't take a bunch of duloxetine, I just took a few more than I usually would. I ran out of booze and was craving more, I wasn't trying to top myself. I feel fine. I took 10 200mg Advil.

That's a very dangerous game you are playing.

Do you want to be sober?
