Grateful alcoholic

I have heard the term grateful alcoholic and I fully Embrace this philosophy I am so grateful that I reached what my friends call the gnarliness so that I can fully actualize a life of strength forgiveness and gratitude I am grateful I have lived an alternative life of ugly drunken fear simply so I know how miraculous it is to emerge into gratitude and joy my struggles rebuilt me into a person who face his fears rejoices in kindness and commits to being useful to others for that I am truly grateful ✌

What's a few periods & commas between friends?

SoberRican - I'm so glad for your presence here - and I absolutely love your last phrase in which you are grateful to be shown the contrast between a drunk life & a sober one. I agree.
