Almost 6 months sober how many meetings do i need??

I have made it to 168 days, 5.5 months! I’m so happy to be sober, but im also drowning in responsibilities. I secretary a mtg, and have a chip commitment, i have a sponsee, Ive worked all 12 steps and meet with my sponsor 2-4x a month. Can i just do meetings on weekends and be ok?? Im a single mom and it gets to be so much. Ive heard the saying dont let the life aa gave u get in the way of ur aa life. How do we find balance while making sure to stay sober, that is what i want.

I'm not in AA LLG - but doing what you've been doing has kept you sober for 6 months - which is terrific

what does your sponsor say?

There is no rule for how many meetings you need to attend.

I think it is important to work on your sobriety plan everyday, but in my opinion that does not have to mean getting in you car and driving across town to attend a meeting.

Spending some time everyday on this website , which is available 24/7, can be much more focused and valuable.

Do what ever gives you a feeling of emotional balance.

I'm not an AA person, but I truly believe that finding balance is so important in recovery. You know what is right for you and that's what matters. Good job on your recovery.

That sounds like a busy schedule. I'd say, as long as you're living the steps you worked, you will stay sober no matter how many meetings you go to.

Congrats on nearly six months sober! Keep going, it gets better.

Thank you so much everyone you help ease my guilt. I definitely need to work a program everyday and balance is important. My sponsor says i ned to put my oxygen mask on first, i love it ❤️
