1 yr!!! AMAZING!! Congratulations Kaily

Worked nights last night which was awful. Halloween brought us total carnage in town. Fights, robberies, domestics, it was a long hard shift & I was glad when 7am ticked over!

Weekend off, enjoying some sofa/tv time after the kiddos have gone to bed & enjoying a hot cuppa!!

Have a fab sober wkend guys!!🙌

Hi weekenders, I'm in and wow, another week has flown by...

Thanks Mags for the thread. I'm not sure about trick or treat but I'm happy to have put the demon drink behind me...

Anyway, nice to see some newcomers here. Well done again Kaily - super stuff. We have storms forecast here tomorrow that may disrupt my weekend plans. They are all pleasantly mundane as usual - I hope to see the family and also get some work done. A new software project is on the horizon so I have a chance to prove myself and earn some pocket money... Isn't sobriety great!

Warm wishes to all as always. Forwards.

I was hopeless at Crazy Golf tonight, I couldn't seem to concentrate (on anything)

Good to see you loulou .

Seeing as this is the Halloween Weekender here is something spooky that was pointed out by SR member and occasional Weekender, SnazzyDresser on another thread so thanks to him. If you try posting the number between 994 and 996 it gets censored. I'll try it here ***

Edit Yup! It is still censored. How weird! Does anyone know why?

Goodnight gang.

Morning all,

Thanks for all the congrats. Strange I got a bit of wonky thinking the day before I reached a year and some little something inside me wanted to self sabotage. Some inner hate or something.

Loulou that sounds like a horrendous night at work. Halloween chaos.

Mysterious number censorship. Hmm makes you wonder.

Hope your hospital appointment went okay Mags.

Hello weekenders and thanks Mags.
I'm in for the weekend and week.

Congratulations Kaily. That's mega awesome.

Everything is going well in vman's land.

Halloween was great fun, a party for the kids and the adults in the town hall.

Take care all.

Good Morning Everyone!

From January - October this year I have worked on Saturdays. I am not working Saturdays for the rest of the year. This is actually part of the sobriety plan. I have to build a life and learn how to do relaxing things when I am not working. Today I will be watching some college football and finishing some projects in my wood shop. I am also seriously considering putting together a pot of chili. (I will also be doing homework for a Master's Course I am taking, but that is not the relaxation plan!)

Keep it sober y'all!

Hi guys and gals! I’m a little lost tonight in the U.K. The village is celebrating with its annual firework display, and I can’t attend, because I’ve nobody to care for my animals, this year.

So my AV is saying I’m home alone, and what a sad loser I am. I know I’m not, I don’t think I’m in any danger of drinking, and my animals welfare is paramount; but I used to have someone to care for them on this night each year, whilst I enjoyed the display and food. Now I don’t.

Thank you Bim. Glad all is well with you. You know you are missed!

Tatsy its a horrible wet and windy evening. I don't think you will be missing too much.
In case your interested classic fm (not my usual thing) are doing a special show with calming music for pets tonight at 7pm.

During the show I hope that pets – and their humans – will get in touch to let us know how they’re getting on,” Bill added. “And that they’ll understand they are not alone, and we’re all supporting each other.”

I have the opposite problem with my dogs. They either sit at the window and watch the fireworks or refuse to come in from the garden!

Hi Bim good to see you

Tatsy sorry you can’t get to the firework display. I understand about your animals safety being paramount, I’m just the same. I’m pleased you’re not letting your AV trick you. I hope you can have a good evening in.
