Nothing feels right

But damn it, I’m sober today. My kids are coming tomorrow for the weekend and I’m sober. So really, what else could I ask for? I have faith that I am exactly where I’m supposed to be. As long as I don’t %#&$# drink.

You won't drink. Your kids are coming for the weekend. :)

I'm not a parent.
Spending a weekend with your kids sounds pretty special to me man. Enjoy it.

Those feelings of “nothing feels right” will pass. And then things will feel better. That’s just how it works. Unless you drink, in which case you cut off that progress and growth and you’re back on the wheel. F*** that!

That is great! That is a good bedrock foundation. The fact that things don't feel right is okay and normal. Think of the feelings as signs and guidepost to the direction for the next part of your journey. Exploring the why and how behind them.

How are you doing this AM, BABM?

Hope you have a great weekend with your kids. We're thinking about you and pulling for you.

I've had the same feelings when my step daughter and/or step son was coming - just taking it a bit at a time and finding one thing to talk to them (Ask them) about, or do, or such seems to help me keep my head in the game.

Try to focus on them and enjoy the time.
