Thanks Mags. I have seen it but not posted in it. Now give me a resentful thread and I will be posting away.
So sorry Vman I missed your post. Yes a very big day for you. Good luck, I hope the Dr is helpful and gives you what you need. Your doing so well and trying so hard, you deserve it.

Hi guys
We use lurgy over here in Oz too.
Mariposa congrats, keep going love.
Tex so proud of you for being able to go meet friends and in a pub.
That takes guts & no hangover
Good luck at the docs Vman
Had a very hard day today with my dear best friend dying of stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She dosnt have much longer but its the most heartbreaking thing ive been through. She is just a shell of her warm , sweet, beautiful self.
Its very hard, what do you say when someone you love says they dont want to die. They have so many things they still want to do. But you both know its not going to happen.
Its a good lesson for all of us who haved been given a second chance, to live our best life ( i sounded a bit like Oprah there sorry )
Wishing all you weekenders much love and support.
I hope you check in Mantra & join us xxx
Xx

That's very sad, Snoozy.
And you are 100% right that those of us who have been given a second chance need to try to live our best lives and not take it for granted. I have thought a lot about that this weekend and the phrase "there but for the grace of God go I." I'm not a big believer but it still works for me. I'm thinking all sorts of things about changing some things in my life right now, but I need to calm down and get through this grief first before I do anything too rash.
I hope your friend's passing is as peaceful as possible, Snoozy.

Welcome to Weekenders whitejay!
That must be really tough Snoozy, your friend will be grateful for your presense.
All the best VMan!
A resentments thread would probably break from overuse.
I am home from work already. Feeling a bit better but no energy.

Hi, weekenders.
Back from work, still coughing and it's wearing me out, scheduled an appointment with the doc for tomorrow.
Vinny - Good luck with your appointment.
Snoozy - So sorry about your friend. Hugs to you.
As I've already mentioned in my other thread, I am celebrating my 7 years sober today. The morning was totally gorgeous and I wanted to enjoy some magic on my way to work.
Have a good as non-stressful as possible week, everyone.

YAY that's amazing MB.
Hope you treat yourself to something nice.
BTW you still boxing..?
My appointment went well.
A spot might be available in 3 weeks.
Social security and health insurance should cover the most of the cost. Kinda happy I'm taking this decision. Eventhough I have probably 85% sober time these last few years there's still something missing in my toolbox and plan.
Nice to see you popping in Andy
Goodnight weekenders

Thank you, Vinny!
I treated myself to new shows and a pair of gloves. Yay! Finally I can buy myself some new clothes.
I actually resumed boxing about 3 weeks ago and almost immediately fell ill.
Sigh.
Can't wait to recover from cold and get back to regular training.

Midnight - congratulations with bells on! 7 years sober is, well, just extraordinary. So pleased for you. Hope to be reporting a similar success in 2026!!
Vman - glad things are looking optimistic for you.
Snoozy - How heartbreakingly sad for your friend, obviously, but also for you. In such a desolate situation there's more than a case for calling on an Oprahism or two. And sympathies and solace again to you too MLD. I'm not a believer either but it never stops me saying 'there but for the grace of God'.
Congratulations Whitejay. Great start to your new life.
