Angeleyes was my cb handle name when I used to go truck driving with my all over the US when I was a teenager. He passed away 8 years ago. I was daddy's girl. Biggest loss in my life, something I can't get past. Hard to move on and hard to let go. He was a marine, vietnam vet.

The 1111 is a number I've been seeing everywhere for many years now. Its a spiritual number....many meanings to it. I am a very spiritual person so I believe in angel numbers and what they mean.

I was turning 50 the year I decided to take sobriety seriously. My 50th birthday was my first one sober since age 17. Fearless had to be part of it because a big part of my drinking was due to living in fear and trying to escape these feelings.

I didn't get that I was an alcoholic until it just hit me one moment. I guess I knew I drank too much but had no idea how much trouble I was in until I heard myself say to myself "I just want to get drunk and stay that way."

Right after I heard myself scream inside my head..RUN!

So that's what I did.

"How Many Times" by The Expendables

How many times
Must I awake to one mistake
That I made before
And now I'm wonderin' what happened
And why I'm on the floor

It must have been a good night
I must have had a good time
Tonight will be a good night
Tonight we'll have a good time

Yeah, we're drunk again
Lets take one more down
We're not gonna stop
Till we hit the ground
To hell with our resolutions
Its just an 80 proof solution
We're not gonna stop till we hit the ground
And we never hit the ground

And now were too far gone
To realize two bloodshot eyes
That I have lost control
And that's when I don't think
And the shots I drank
Are starting to take their toll

It must have been a good night
I must have had a good time
Tonight will be a good night
Tonight we'll have a good time

Yeah, we're drunk again
Lets take one more down
We're not gonna stop
Till we hit the ground
To hell with our resolutions
Its just an 80 proof solution
We're not gonna stop till we hit the ground
And we never hit the ground

So many days I wake up stuck
What did I say or do or ****?
But it's that time again
And I am going dull

Yeah, we're drunk again
Lets take one more down
We're not gonna stop
Till we hit the ground
To hell with our resolutions
Its just an 80 proof solution
We're not gonna stop

Have you heard My Own Worst Enemy by Less Than Jake? That’s one that always resonated with me.

I've come to my senses that I've become senseless
I could give you lessons, how to ruin your friendships
And every last conviction, yeah I smoked them all away
I drank my frustrations down the drain, out of the way

And so I sit and wait and wonder
Does anyone else feel like me?
Someone so tired of their routines
And disappearing self-esteems

I'll sing along, yeah with every emergency
Just sing along and I'm the king of catastrophes
I'm so far gone that deep down inside I think it's fine by me
I'm my own worst enemy

I could be an expert on co-dependency
And I could write the best book on underage tragedy
And I've been spending my time at the local liquor store
And I've been sleeping nightly on my best friends kitchen floor

And so I sit and wait and wonder
Does anyone else feel like me?
I'm so over dosed on apathy
And burnt out on sympathy

I'll sing along, yeah with every emergency
Just sing along and I'm the king of catastrophes
I'm so far gone that deep down inside I think it's fine by me
That I'm my own worst enemy

Let the meaning slip away
I lost my faith in another day
Self deprication seems okay
I never thought I'd make it anyway

I'll sing along, yeah with every emergency
Just sing along and I'm the king of catastrophes
I'm so far gone that deep down inside I think it's fine by me
Cause I'm my own worst enemy
That I'm my own worst enemy
'Cause I'm my own worst enemy
And I'm my own worst enemy
'Cause I'm my own worst enemy
And I'm my own worst enemy
'Cause I'm my own worst enemy

Mine comes from the quote in my sig from Thoreau. I've always just really loved that quote. I try to live my life that way, basically to try and live worry free and all good things will come. Kind of tough sometimes to be without worry, but I made it my sig and handle to remind myself.

I knew what you meant. Very heartwarming for a guy with two daughters he absolutely adores.

I always like this question. It is interesting to see all the responses and to share mine. My user name is from an Italian song by the same name.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9qw3nCvFZK0

E vero, credetemi è accaduto/ it's true, believe me, it happened
di notte su di un ponte/ one night on a bridge
guardando l'acqua scura/ while I was looking at the dark water
con la dannata voglia/ feeling the damned impulse
di fare un tuffo giù / to dive down into them
D'un tratto qualcuno alle mie spalle/ suddenly someone was behind me
forse un angelo/ maybe an angel
vestito da passante/ disguised as a passer-by
mi portò via dicendomi/ he took me away saying
Così: Meraviglioso/this: wonderful
ma come non ti accorgi/ can't you see
di quanto il mondo sia/ how the world is
meraviglioso/ wonderful
Meraviglioso/ wonderful
perfino il tuo dolore/ even your sorrow
potrà guarire poi/ could heal someday
meraviglioso/ wonderful
Ma guarda intorno a te/ take a look around you
che doni ti hanno fatto:/ at all the gifts they have offered you
ti hanno inventato il mare eh/ they invented the sea for you
Tu dici non ho niente/ you say that you have nothing
Ti sembra niente il sole!/ does the sun seem like nothing to you
La vita,l'amore/ and what about life, love
meraviglioso/ wonderful
il bene di una donna/ the goodness of a woman
che ama solo te/ who loves only you
meraviglioso/ wonderful
La luce di un mattino/ the light of the morning
labbraccio di un amico/ the hug of a friend
il viso di un bambino/ the face of a child
meraviglioso/ wonderful
meraviglioso/ wonderful
Ma guarda intorno a te/ take a look around you
che doni ti hanno fatto:/ at all the gifts they have offered you
ti hanno inventato il mare eh/ they invented the sea for you
Tu dici non ho niente/ you say that you have nothing
Ti sembra niente il sole!/ does the sun seem like nothing to you
La vita,l'amore/ and what about life, love
meraviglioso/ wonderful
La notte era finita/ the night was over
e ti sentivo ancora/ and I could still feel you
Sapore della vita/ the taste of life
meraviglioso/ wonderful

I honestly didn't think about it at the time, but Shealy is a nickname my uncle gave me. He was always a huge role model and support system during difficult times. How's that for subconscious!
