15 months today

I have not had a drink since July 2, 2018. So 15 months today. I just want to say I am grateful to SR. The early days were hard. Thanks everyone for the support. Newcomers, I wish I could say that I have not wanted a drink in the last 15 months. I have. But I am always happy to wake up sober. It is a wonderful feeling. I do walking exercise, I write in a journal, and I keep a sober calendar. And I read SR. If you are in your early days, keep your spirits up! When you need to reach out, SR is here. Good luck everyone in their recovery. One day at a time.

Congrats, Jim.

15 months is about the time that most of the mental and sensory cobwebs had lifted for me.

Keep it up, brother.

Congratulations on 15 months, Jim, that’s an awesome achievement. Yes, I’ve never woken up sober, and wished that I’d drank the day prior! Sober sleep is so restful, apparently it’s when the brain processes and prunes the synapses and the body rejunavates.

Congratulations, Jim. That's a great accomplishment. And words to the wise for all of us.
Best to you.

Congratulations Jim. 15 months is amazing. I am 17 months myself and I still have thoughts of a drink but I am an alcoholic so I don't think that's unusual lol. It's what we do with those thoughts that matter.!!
