Hi, all.
I am from class October 2012 and heading to my 7th sober anniversary.
I'd like to welcome everyone to Octsober class and SR overall.
This was decision that totally changed my life, and I can't even imagine what my life would be like had I not found this place back in October 2012.
The first step is scary and the entire journey full of uncertainty, but it's surely worth it and getting much better over the time.
Good luck to you and welcome!

Hello...
I'm back and joining this class. I haven't had anything to drink in a week, which will be tomorrow. I'm hoping I have some momentum building.
It's been a while and it's been a tough year. I'm wishing success to all in every class..... Looking forward to meeting everyone in the October class.
Good night!

Good night!
I’m in. I’m quitting cigarettes and I need to now. My daughter doesn’t need this poison around her and I don’t want her picking it up.
Got to be a good example.
Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. This is going to be a hard one for me to kick.

Welcome, Class of October.
I was a part of the Classes of February and October, 2014. Those Classes provided wonderful support along my journey of sobriety and recovery. I hope you find the same in this Class.

I’d like to join. I made some headway in September and want to go all of October. Reading posts making a plan etc. it’s really about taking action. Working with therapist, working on being with uncomfortable feelings, self care. My biggest problem is dealing with urges. Have some resources for that. Also doing 30 day sobriety solution starting today

I never did join a class when I started my journey of sobriety so I would like to now, if its ok. Been 29 months since my last drunk which was usually a case of beer or a fifth of whiskey a day.
I don't post much but I have read everyday since day one. This place really made a difference!

Happy October everyone!
I had to go out to get my drivers license renewed today....then drop by my work to hand in a doctor's note.
Suddenly I got really shakey. My knees and hands were doing the tremor thing. A drink would have fixed that pretty quick, instead I blitzed home and dived under the covers. It'll pass, I'll read on here, I won't give in...

Day 58, bad day at work, the higher ups throw new people under the bus, unfriendly co-workers, and a husband I do not trust at all. Still not drinking, it will not help any of this. I think I’m the first few months we sober up to how our lives really are, it’s often shocking and drives many people back to drinking. Some lucky people stick it out and stay sober to improve the mess of their lives.... rant over.
