Chairing meetings

Hi, I have been chairing meetings for about 3 weeks now. I like to have a topic that has a passage in the big book or 12x12 to read aloud, that I can relate to, and share my story with it.
I have the hardest time finding stuff in the big book! I have the words, for example, but when I use a big book search, am unable to find a correlatng passage, it is so frustrating.
So, my question is this.
Does anyone have topic ideas with sections in the books for these topic ideas?
Being kind and respectful to others
empathy and compassion
Humility realization of
Self deception
Gift of desperation
Fears.. Of disturbance or stress
any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated!!
thank you so much!!
God bless.

As Bill Sees it is a book for looking up quotes about specific topics.

also, remember that you are only chairing the meeting - it would be perfectly ok if you did not HAVE a topic or feel the need to share your story first. good meetings start on time and end on time. the chair helps assures that happens and nobody sets the furniture on fire!

When I do it, I often think of something that has happened to me, like a situation and how I handled it (well or not!), or a question or discussion I had recently....and see if I can tie it to something specific (a step, or the daily reflection, for example).

Things that are basic and can also lead to some of the most meaningful - and deep- meetings include gratitude and acceptance. Some of my fave pages in the BB are 84-88 and 417-418 and I can always find something in those that makes for good topic suggestion ;)
