Thanks August! I will be working midnights until Monday 5p to 5a. That will keep me busy. I had a great conversation with my friend I mentioned in the above post today on my way to work. I told him I was drying out permanently this time. He was all for it and said he was here for me if I needed it. I told him how much I was hiding the drinking and how it was starting to affect my mind and health. Him and I were drinking buddies while watching football on weekends. He also said he might join me in a dry out himself. What a great friend. I'm very lucky to have the main players in this supporting me. Thanks again.

Thanks all. This forum is really helping me be a better person. I am really starting to enjoy feeling good when I wake up. No dry mouth, runny nose, red face and sore body. Didn't know what I was missing for so long.

Day 6 down. Tomorrow will be 7. Haven't done that in quite some time. Loving feeling good and having energy. Don't miss the beers at all. And to top it off, my Browns won!! It was a good day. Hope everyone has the same.

Understood Colorado. I guess I am just excited to feel good. Haven't felt this way in a long time. I think about how I used to feel every time I wake up and not feeling like garbage when I did drink. The plan is still in place and I do not plan on deviating from it.

Felt like a small victory. Also, i went to my parents house this afternoon. My mom was cooking chicken ranch pitas for my wifes bday that was yesterday. She immediately asked me if i wanted a beer. I said no thanks and proceeded to tell her that i quit. Suprised she said good for you. My father said the same thing. None of them really knew the severity of my situation but seem glad for me. My brother, who drinks a lot too said in a smart ass tone " what, saving up for the next couple days are you?" I just said no, im done for a while.....maybe longer. Didnt say anything after that. Hanging out with my wife and kids enjoying another beer free night. Thanks to all for your words and support.

Like you said, "Oh well, still no drinking..."
