My face is so bloated...

Hey all, tomorrow is Day 4...

I'm coming off a long, hard bender. I haven't gained any waist weight, but my face is FAT and I have bags under my eyes (guess from lack of sleep). I'm like 135 lbs yet my face looks like I'm 300 lbs. I've had this before and it took a month of sobriety until I looked like myself again... but it's never been this bad.

Any tips on how to speed the process up? I've been eating healthy, exercising and drinking a ton of water.

I know a lot of products promise this but personally I'm not sure you can speed the process up - I drank for over 20 years so it was always gonna be a little while for me to detox and feel better.

Of course I'm a guy so I have a face like an unmade bed anyway - but I definitely look better now than I did when I quit 12 years ago

Try and eat right in quality and quantity , drink enough water, get enough sleep...time will tell

D

No speeding up this process but time will for sure fix this. I am skinny but with the drinking had a horribly bloated face. All gone now. Look and feel a different person. Just hang in there and you will get the rewards.

Staying sober and much as we don't want to hear it, time. My body was very damaged and my skin and bloating and everything shifted and ultimately settled.

Water and rest. Glad you have stopped drinking.

I am pretty sure i could stick my face in a bowl of iced water and reduce the bloating. I have seen it on a talk show before.

Probably would be refreshing and a little fun as well.

Being booze free is how we were designed. Addiction is a learned behavior, it can be unlearned.

I wake up these days and wonder how I survived all those years waking up and feeling like a train hit me.

Never again. Amen.

Thanks.

I wouldn't try to take anything but, rather eat clean and flush out all the toxins with water and teas.

Having gone on and off alcohol several times the last year and also dealt with face bloat, I'll swear by a sauna helping to reduce my bloat quicker on top of exercise and healthy eating.
