Thank you for the welcome saoutchik. I'm having a lovely weekend. Attended Landcare with my son this morning, re-watched The Shack, ordered the book from the library, cooked my honey chicken & made a garden salad. Love the simple things in life. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend too.
I'm glad Mags didn't have to battle the spider. Beware, if Lunar sees that post he'll have a visual for you.
It is staying dark a lot later in the mornings, andy. Not happy about that, whatchagonnado, though?
I'm walking up to the library later for a health insurance seminar. I never get sick so I hope I'm just wasting my time.

Thanks to Andy for the Equinox reminder. A few Minutes ago outside is seen below. Same_o same_o view. BUT, it went below 40 F last Night for the first time, and was 39 F [~5 C] while taking MesaDog out for his Morning Constitutional.
I'm trying to hit a few trip prep Benchmarks daily to get ready for a manly 10 Day Outing to around Moab Utah next Tuesday. MesaMate's headed back to her Polish Homeland of Detroit with a Gal Pal she's known since 2nd Grade; thus the new Truck gets broken in for Trailer towing. The Back Seat latches up, so MesaDog now has a veritable Pooch Suite back there on his Pad while safely secured in his Travel Harness.
When this Introvert is ready for People-ing, the Moab Dog Park is a great place to meet interesting Folks. As are Picture-taking Hikes along remote Paths out in the ~330 Million Year-old Red Rocks of ancient Seabed.
I haven't had cause to do it for a while, but I'll reflect on aspects of Forgiveness by the Campfire. Write it out. Put the Paper in the Campfire. Send the thoughts & ashes up into The Ether in the magnificent Dark Skies, a la the Temple Burning at Burning Man a few Weeks ago. Psychic Release is very healing, and therapeutic...

Happy Saturday weekenders!!
It's finally cooled down a bit here, too, MesaMan. Below 70 this morning in the valley of the sun - not quite "crisp fall air", but pretty good just the same!!
Welcome WhiteLight. I read the Shack a long time ago on a plane when I was traveling. I don't think I've ever had a book generate so much conversation with my row mates. It was good conversation.
Enjoy the day everyone

I got to sleep in til 9:30 today, which is huge for me :P
Zoo is busy and it's so humid out today, which I'm not really happy about. I would love it if fall would come. I've been asking nicely for a while now.
Happy Saturday everyone, waking up sober on the weekends and feeling good never gets old. And not being hungover while running around in this heat isn't half bad either.

Hey all. So this has been a bad month for me, sober wise. Broke my 7 month streak a few weeks ago.
Just checking in, in the hopes to put a stop gap on drinking. Want to shoot for a whole day sober tomorrow. That would be nice to see right about now.

How lovely Vman, although you might be making for a very expensive future!
I was absolutely horse obsessed. As a child I spent as much time I could helping out at the local stables. Once I was working I bought my first horse and had several more after that. I competed at local show jumping shows. Horses are very therapeutic.
Only gave up riding about 5 years ago. I still have a hankering, maybe one day...
