100 Hours sober

I'm wishing you all a fantastic day in recovery.
I am proud of being 100 hours sober today.

The madness was well and truly on me at the weekend and it has scared me to the point that I'm so desperate to hold onto my life. I am so grateful for SR and I need to connect with as many people as possible and stay in the lifeboat of recovery.
I am just focusing on step 1 and reminding myself I am powerless over that first drink or drug.

I pray that you all stay clean today.

Thank you so much everyone.

Peace. RJ

100 hours is great! Those first days can be hard on your body and mind!
Hope you are feeling better and keep counting those hours!

RJ,

Congratulations on entering your weekend with 100+ hours of sobriety. Connections are valuable indeed. Thank you for prayers for others - I appreciate that. Back at ya.

Beautiful job, RJ! You will enter this weekend with strength and sobriety. You will continue to feel better as the sober days keep on coming. I was recently reading Stephen Crane's short story "The Open Boat" and your reference to being in the lifeboat of recovery is so apt; we are all here for each other, everyone rowing and bailing out, and encouraging our friends along through the dangerous waves. I pray that you and all will stay clean and sober today as well.
