Day 4 watched this
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tW6N5PssPGw I watched this last night if anyone would like to watch it
I think that's true until you reach the point of no return. There's no need to go there and I don't think you're even close, Mummy. You've kept trying and kept coming back. Clearly, you're on a mission and I believe you will prevail.
It's evening on Day 4 for you - that's awesome. In my experience, getting past Days 3 and 4 when I am feeling better physically has been a risky business. You're well on your way to waking up sober tomorrow heading into your second week.
Any thoughts for what you're going to do for yourself while the kids are in school tomorrow?

By coincidence I watched Brian’s story last night. A highly intelligent man with a Cambridge degree and a world class journalist.
He was not at all aware of how serious his problems weee maintaining he was not suffering from Deppression and that he was coping well and having a good life. He was also optimistic.
It is often the case that severe alcoholics have extreme problems with denial, this makes it very difficult for others to help them.
One woman gave him £150 which was robbed for him and his family bought him his own house which he destroyed and set fire too.
i feel he was let down by the mental health services on the which frankly are absolutely shockingly poor.
In fact he left the mental hospital one day went to London and committed suicide.
Brian Rest In Peace friend!

I just watched it. Something very likeable about Brian and what a clever guy. I don't for a minute think he took his own life, he was far to optimistic for that.
Tragic sad end for him.
Mummy I am pleased to see you are back on the sober road near to hitting day 5. Keep up the good work.

It wasn't too long ago that you had more than 2 months of sobriety. What is it that you decide in the days and moments leading up to picking up again? I think examining that is of utmost importance.

I watched this today because you posted it. Very sad. And makes me all the more determined to keep going in my sobriety. He suffered from mental health issues but I wonder how effective dealing with his mental health issues would have been if he had accepted and treated his alcoholism. We won't know now. R.I.P Brian. 🙏❤🙏
