5 days sober
It's been 5 days now since I decided to drop the booze and take care of my general wellness. The first couple of days were extremely difficult, and my sleep patterns were completely off. They still are a bit off, but getting better certainly. I feel really happy today about my progress. I just really want to stay positive and keep embracing the challenges of sobriety. I'm glad to of found this site. I know that there is a lot of support here for myself and others on this battling journey.

Hi Tweetie, well done! Five days is an excellent first step. I know what you mean about lack of sleep and cravings. The first weeks are unpleasant. I really thought every day for the rest of my life would be like that, but it’s not I promise you. You’ll soon sleep better, and the cravings will become less intense and rarer. I think you know from reading here, it has to be 100%, though. Any “rewards” will send you back to day one.
