Alcoholism
When you truly, truly can't stop drinking... that feeling of dread and self-hatred is your true self telling you that alcoholism is no way to die.
I accidentally stepped on my kitty when I was drunk - I'm lucky that I just got her tail. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I really squished her. I gave her so many hugs the day after even though I felt like I was gonna vomit every second.
Alcohol is a jerk. It's not your friend.

I almost crashed my car a few tims in the end. I am not sure what was happening, but I know that when I quit drinking, it stopped.
I was trying to blame the issues on my job. Long story.
Glad I quit. I am still seeing growth every day.
I sleep so deeply now, that coming out of it in the morning feels like a hangover initially. But, it is a natural melatonin hangover. That is the best.
Then I get going on my day. Sometimes I accomplish in one morning more than I used to accomplish in a month or more.
Thanks.

I think of all the time I was too drunk to drive, or even react appropriately, if my dogs or cats needed vet care.
Best thing I ever did for myself was to stop drinking. I can trust myself again.

Kitty cats are the best.
She was just laying there at midnight in a random spot. And I stumbled out of my room and squished her tail - I am so thankful that I didn't accidentally squish her head or spine.
She's my Squealer meow.
