I am still here and still sober.
I definitely feel as if I am a long way from repairing the damage I have done to my body and mind.
The memories of waking up for work and mumbling **** my life gathering my things and sipping on a beer on my commute are still very fresh in my mind.
I no longer wake with those thoughts or feelings.
I can look in the mirror at myself once more. My relationship with my wife is getting better.
Looking forward to one day feeling content again.
Thanks sr

Sounds great so far, Finalcall 👍
Regarding your body healing, my fatty liver cleared up in a matter of months after I stopped drinking, so it’s certainly not such a long process as we first imagine.
Those of us who’ve quit before any lasting damage has occurred are very fortunate indeed.
Well done again. It’ll get easier. You’ll get way healthier.
