Trachemys has one year sober!
It's nice to see folks reach some sobriety time
under their belts and working hard to achieve it.
When you have some time, come back and share
with us how you did it. There are many who are
still struggling and anything you may share in how
you did it or doing it may help another achieve sobriety
too.
It's gives many hope that if you can work hard
at learning how to remain sober and applying
this knowledge to your everyday life then they
can too.
Congrats on your 1 yr. sobriety as you move
forward continuing to build a strong solid recovery
foundation to live upon for many one days sober
down the road.

How did I do it?
I took a sabbatical from life and checked in to a residential rehab for a year. If I hadn't I'd be homeless or dead in the same time. All but a few necessities are in a storage unit. I literally quit life to rebuild my life.
Now, I'm sober, reconnecting with family, got a good job, a ratty old truck, and better prospects for the future. There's much left to straighten out from my past. I should have it all worked out in time to retire.
What really worked for me was to make it my only purpose. I was fortunate to be unencumbered enough to do that.
I owe thanks to a lot of people. Many here played a part and I thank you each and every one.
