THis is your last post: Currently sitting on a bench watching some ducks and crying my eyes out, and feel as sick as a dog, it’s just started to rain but I don’t even care

what's going on my friend?

Hi Room
I'm sorry it's not going well.

I had to make it simple - I had to put more effort into not drinking than I did into drinking.

It wasn't fun, but I considered it a little short term pain for long term gain?

I hope you'll think more about posting here everyday maybe joining a monthly group support thread

D

You can't do what no more? Drink or live?

You can live..and much more happily if you can stop drinking....

"working on it" always meant for ME that I was drinking today...and thinking about stopping sometime in the future.

"Worked on it" for ME....was...I picked a day...told myself NO MATTER WHAT I was stopping...and no matter what I was not going to drink again...even if I had to do things I didn't like to stay stopped.....

I got a bunch of supplies for my quit date....to hydrate...Gatorade, Pedilyte...Vitamins....bannanas...watermelon...ram en noodles and it wasn't easy but I stuck to MY quit date....and now I have 50 plus days.

You can do this...(what I am doing) and you don't have to do what you are doing anymore....its just seems easier to stay in a stupor condition rather than to deal with detox and everything that comes with it....and it is easier but it is NO LIFE.

If you're feeling suicidal please call some helplines Room.
https://www.itv.com/thismorning/suic...tion-helplines

Your addiction is trying to convince you it's easier to die than it is to stop drinking.

Thats just not true - there's 1000s of people here who are proof that is a lie.

Good morning and welcome. Hey all I can say is dont give up. When you get to the end of your rope tie a knot and hang on. Booze is putting crap in your head. Sure you can get boozed. Then what? Your problems are gonna be there. . its all on you . It seizes to amaze me about this one true fact you only get out of something what you put into it. No work no reward....keep coming back
