Very impressive accomplishment. I hope we see more of you around here. I like your statement that "My friends were of course all drinking, but as always it didn't make me feel like I was missing anything. " Don't worry, you weren't missing a thing. |
Congratulations! Sounds like life is good. |
Congrats!! :c011: |
Congratulations! Can't wait until I can say I made it one whole year without drinking!! |
Thanks so much for all the Birthday and One Year messages! They really mean a lot. The biggest thing for me right now is I'm a lot more present than I was when I was drinking. My dad is currently unwell. He was diagnosed with cancer a week ago, so is now waiting to hear about surgery and naturally we are speaking to each other on the phone very often as we live in separate countries. I am available to talk any time, whereas in my drinking days good luck getting me on the phone at all between Saturday and Tuesday, as I was either drinking or suffering crippling post-drinking anxiety and depression. |

Congratulations...thanks for posting people like you make me feel like I can do this..a year seems impossible right..but you did it well done and enjoy your new home ❤ You can absolutely do it. Just remember to take one day at a time, rather than thinking too far ahead. Thinking about being sober for a whole year is a lot harder and more intimidating than tackling each day as it comes. Before you know it, you'll hit that milestone! |
