I was in the er once for dehydration and panic attacks. I thought I had a stroke.

I almost passed out and my face went numb on one side.

I am sure it was something like a stroke. I called an ambulance and got taken to the ER.

I told the Dr. everything and was honest when I said the numbness was going away.

So they held me for about 8 hours. I had an IV drip and I think they brought me food.

They ran 8 tests, full battery, to see what was wrong. MRI too.

Came back that I was good to go, no stroke. Dr's asked how much I drank and I said "a few off and on, more on the weekends." This was sort of true, I drank a bit more than a few at the time.

He said I had a panic attack and I was healthy.

So, I quit drinking for about 2 weeks and started up again for about 5 more years.

I think they held me to see if I was going to go into DT's. Then they may have 5150'd me.

The bill came to about $8k. My insurance covered 99% of it, thank God

There were a bunch of us in the ER and I have a feeling many were in the same boat as me.
