Two Weeks Today!
Two Weeks Today!
Hello everyone!
I have hit my 14 day mark and am feeling wonderful! Started my day out with the Morning Prayer and am babysitting my niece today.
I am having a clearer mentality and am exercising daily. I can see the pounds dropping off, my eyes brightening up and my skin clearing up. The bloated look is gone and when I look in the mirror, I see a happy girl full of love and life again. I feel so lucky.
Tonight is the black moon, which will remove negativity and make space for only positive things. I will be looking at it tonight and reflecting on this time frame, the longest I have gone without a drink since I was probably 17 years old.
I am proud, committed and driven to stay sober and am throwing myself into the AA program, fellowships, service and next week I will begin seeing an addiction psychiatrist to begin the work on my depression and anxieties. I am doing 90 in 90 meetings and am already planning to attend the 63rd Annual Service in Action FL State Convention with two girlfriends, where we do service for a few hours and then enjoy the offerings.
I am changing my habits little by little and cannot believe this is my life now. I am lucky to be an alcoholic and be able to have this awakening.
To you, my SR family, I am so grateful for the support and will continue checking in nightly, it is the last thing I do and I am constantly inspired to stay sober and be an active part of this community. It saved my life.
Thanks, next stop, one month!!!

I am so happy for you. Fourteen days is great, but what's even greater is how you're doing the two weeks. Thank you for sharing this. I still attend our state convention and I've been sober 21 years, 11 months. They're pretty awesome.
