fresh start
Hello! I hope you have a wonderful day one!
I wanted to chime in with one other thing if that's ok. There is an ignore button so you can ignore posts from anyone that is not helpful to you. I know some people don't realize that exists, but it can be super helpful!
SR is a place of encouragement and support. I hope you have a wonderful and sober day and that you keep coming back and sharing to both give and receive support!

I usually rely on my cardio workouts at the gym to reduce anxiety, but I just had cataract surgery Monday and the doctor told me to not do anything strenuous for a week, So the soonest I can get back to the gym is next Monday. Thanks for the advice. John

I'm feeling pretty good but I got a call from a doctor in Minneapolis about my sister. Her copd got much worse and she called 911. She's on some heavy drugs for sleep at the hospital and has a breathing tube down her throat. The doctor needed my permission to do some other procedures. Of course I said yes. She'll be in the hospital at least over the weekend. I got a number to call to see how she is doing. Normally, I would of been pretty drunk when the doctor called.

I talked to her nurse today and she said my sister is doing better but plan on keeping her until around mid next week. She is heavily sedated and still has an air tube down her throat. Right now she is just sleeping. I've been looking on line for senior living communities in her area that cater to people with both physical and emotional issues. She needs a place that hopefully provides some nursing care if needed. Anyway, thanks for asking. Have a good one. John
