Why I think I relapsed
You've hit on the key question - "what do I have to do differently to live sober?" For me, at the very beginning (I'm about 1.5 years in), I avoided alcohol and drinking events like they would physically attack me, to the point where I wouldn't even have "eye contact" with alcohol at the grocery store! I know, that sounds silly, but honestly - alcohol was and is my greatest enemy. I've tried to engage it, I've tried to fight it, but my best strategy has been to avoid and eliminate it. You've learned an important lesson through this relapse, and need to heed it - what will you do specifically and consistently to make sure you don't drink today?
