I understand I have a problem now all these bruises and whatnot i'm in the process of seeking a detox center but having issues with being in the US on Medicaid has anyone had these issues before?
I don't have any experience with what you seek, but there are those here who can probably help.
I just want to say help and welcome to the site.
You'll find a lot of support here, so I hope you stick around

Your having problems on Medicaid for a hospital? That is weird..Medicaid pays everything..and you should be able to find one...I loved when I had Medicaid..never paid a dime for the 10 plus times I was hospitalized for detox.

Sorry for your frustrations, I understand! I'm in the US and the hospital had provided me with lists of places that I could access to find detox and treatment, maybe you could ask about that?
personally I could never taper at home, once some alcohol was in my system all rules went out the door.
I'm glad you're posting and asking for help. Definitely a step in the right direction.

Hi Euphoryc
you could ring the SAMSHA help line (National Database of Treatment Facilities) and ask for help in finding those in your area which take medicaid
National Helpline
1-800-662-HELP (4357)
Treatment referral and information, 24/7.

I believe if you tell youve been suffering what you believe to be seisures for days along with chest pains they have to admit you.
Then let them figure it out.
If you are in pain and arfraid for your life/ sanity Id go there in a heartbeat to et medical attention

I tried all of those and they all say im only covered for behavior services and I called my insurance 24/7 hotline and I only have 2 pills of Librium left from when I went back at the ER in February, but all this bruising I need help I need to stop this. I tried to see if I could get a renewed prescription but I think im going to need to go to the ER again this is too much for me. The anxiety and withdrawl symptoms are too much.
I would go to the ER and tell them you are detoxing and scared. Tell the nurse you would like to speak with a social worker and the social work will do everything for you from finding a program, inpatient/outpatient etc., doctor, meetings. That is how it works in our ER and others I have worked in. But please don't go it alone at home if you are having a hard time, no shame in seeking medical attention. It will be your first step to a new life.
I just got back yesterday from the hospital. Had to confess to my mother I'm an alcoholic and need help but I need to go to the urgent care/ER and when they took my blood work the saw my platelettes were really really low and that I'm probably going to need a transfusion. So I was taken in an ambulance to the main Hospital facility where they could treat me detox me and examine for a couple days.......what a nightmare. I've never been taken and that's when I said I'm done.
