It’s hard in the beginning to think about weekends without drinking. I’m 2-1/2 years in and I love my sober weekends now. Friday is usually Friday family night. We play board games, ping pong, and often watch a movie with popcorn. Sometimes my son has a play date in which case my husband and I often watch Netflix or go out to dinner. I am totally fine going out now without drinking even when others are. It takes a while but the reward is feeling great about myself and there’s no hangover or regret.

just walked to this chinese grocery store and explored the whole place and picked up a few things. its hard for me because i moved here with gf she the only person i know here and we broke up. so im all alone except for you guys and another forum i go to. I have a job interview monday, hopefully ill get that and have some people to socialize with, but literally my only social interaction today was saying hi and thank you to cashier at grocery store. i'm pretty outgoing too so having no social interaction is really hard and depressing for me.
