Help

How do I help my husband stop drinking

Misssy2 07-17-2019 04:05 AM

Honestly? DONT HELP HIM....Just don't enable him...don't baby him.....

This is an inside job he has to do himself and if it were me and he didn't start "trying" to quit...I would LEAVE to take care of myself...because I wouldn't sit there and watch him kill himself.

I'm sorry you are going thru this.

You can't "help" him, put you can just make suggestions to help him empower (sp?) himself.

Empowement not enabling.

Therapy, meetings, meds, whatever

You don't need to live like this and neither does he.

If he's anything like me he didn't even realise it was a problem until it was.

Im actually kind of shocked and bewildered because I thought I was too "smart", having witnessed the problems that existed in my family.

Only help you can give him is prayer. And pray for yourself. Till he throws in the towel aint much you can do. Good luck.......keep coming back
