Could use some kind words
Hi Dandelion,
Try following some mindfulness breathing. You can use you tube, or there are apps like Headspace and Calm. You can also try four x four breathing, breathe in for four, hold for four, out for four. I sometimes hold a second or two longer and breathe out slower.
Let go of whatever happened today, or prior to today to make you feel this way.
Make a list of things you are grateful for, read that before going to sleep. Tomorrow is a new day, and a chance to make new choices.
Sending virtual hugs your way.
❤️ Delilah

Prayers and support DL....go SR surfing...there is so much info, personal stories, word games...I do that a lot...I know the feelings you have shared intimately. Those feelings suck, but YOU do not.
I'm right there with you as far as feeling lost and not sleeping. One thing I remember my Mom always told me which is so true is that in the nighttime everything feels so much worse. It's important for me to remember and think about all of the ways that I'm not alone and where I can access support. As Dee said to me in an earlier thread "Don't give in to the despair". That is going to be my mantra now.
Hi Dandylion, well we mind if you die or not, if you die there are a lot of people here who would be devastated. I read one of your other posts just now where you say you're too old to change! Well I beg to differ, I'm 10 years older than you and have 15 months sober on Saturday after drinking for the best part of 20 years, ( I was a late starter). I've been where you are now, it's not nice and it's not easy but you can do it, bloody hell if I can, you can. We're all on your side, we have your back. Big gentle hugs to you. Xx

I hope today is off to a better start. Right now rebuilding sober feels like looking at a tall mountain, standing at its base and being expected to scale it while having all the strength of a newborn kitten; however, coming here shows me it CAN be done. I have every reason right now to focus on a fresh start; it sounds like you do too. Keep your head up! I’m rooting for you!
