Hey all! How you all been?

Soooo...it's been a full week without alcohol today.
I've gotten over the first few days hump in which I was completely dead on my feet and I'm slowly starting to feel better and picking up a bit of energy.

Ive had no cravings whatsoever which is really really odd.
It helps a TON that due to where I've been working I've had no access at to alcohol.

I've been sleeping very heavily. Between 8-9 hours per day! Which when I'm working 12 hour shifts with an hour's travelling leaves me with so little time

Congratulations! For me I've never had serious physical cravings. I think I'm maybe "90% of the way to alcoholic" on the "alcohol use disorder spectrum." But when I'm in the pits of self-pity and loneliness, all I can think about is getting to drink. Maybe you're the same way? It helps me to think about this because I no longer feel like there's some kind of blind spot I missed and "maybe I'm not really an alcoholic." I'm now sure if I kept it up I'd get to the 100% mark in a few years if not sooner. It helps motivate me to take the additional energy from this "easy quit" and offer it back as encouragement to others as thanks for the gift of healing.

You are past the worst. Now it is the rebuild and adjust phase. I'm on day 12, and today feel low after feeling really good. Not 100% good but I'd rate it at maybe 75%. Today it is my mood. I haven't had cravings either but maybe that is still to come. I hope not.

I think now that I am five months into HRT that my hormones are running correctly I'm a lot more happier in general and don't feel the need to get drunk to forget
