Wrapping up day 8

Today was exhausting, but good! It was tiring because I had so much to get done, but i felt good enough to do it. So, that's a nice change from the past week. I appreciate everyone's support, especially in helping me as I struggled through detox.

How's things this morning, nadt? We're within a day of each other. I'm still waiting for that real, deep, solid night's sleep, but still sleeping better than when I "passed out", and glad to wake up not hungover! Have an awesome day!

Way to go, Nadt! I'm 9 hours in, so on day 1 and I'm feeling really rough. I've got the racing heart, took some zofran for nausea but it still keeps hitting me in waves, I'm really shaky...can't wait for this to be over! I hope you're still doing well

hi, strength. I posted on your thread. I am doing well. Thanks. I was NOT doing well on day 1! I was a shaking, heart racing, mess (i was puking all day too) I really struggled. It does get better.
Keep posting. We are all here to help each other.

Hi, Brian. I'm doing well today. thank you! I am back at my normal routine. So I'm staying busy. I'm keeping this thread going, because I think it's good to look back at my old posts and think about how far I've come in just a few days!
I agree about the sleep. I've had a couple nights with a few good hours which was nice. It definitely is more restful than a passed out drunken sleep, you're right about that.
congrats on day 10!

Day 9

So, it's day 9 for me. I'm feeling pretty good. It's hard to believe how I felt a few days ago compared to now.
as always, thanks to everyone for helping me get here!

Really proud of you and hope the elusive good night sleep finds you soon. It's helpful to read your posts as a reminder of what I never want to go through again. I'm only a few weeks sober (this time) but the physical change is remarkable. Keep it up!
