Day 22

I don't know why I keep making threads. I'll stop sooner or later.
But there's just something magical about not poisoning myself day in day out. Life isn't perfect. I'm definitely not happy all the time. In fact, sometimes, I'm anxious as hell and just exhausted all at the same time.

But it's better than the binge drink --> withdrawal --> repeat cycle. That cycle is hell. I'm never going back there.

YAY...Good news....I hope I will make it to day 22...I'm on Day 5....Had 8 years once....

You can do this...and will do this..post everyday if you have too whatever makes you happy....

I did exactly same thing....relapse..drink..recover....repeat....its the worst cycle....posting everyday is a much better cycle... to repeat and repeat.

Do whatever it takes to stay sober! Making threads and being active has certainly helped me. Congrats on your sober time!

Day 22 is great, so close to the 30 day mark. It gets better day by day as the shame lifts and we start getting the day to day life organized. Stuff like real food in the refridge, waking up without hangovers, anxiety lifting. It is also rough the first few days, emotions all of the place, undoing the damage, the exhaustion but it’s worth it.

Good for you -- love to see your posts -- go for it! You got this.

Missy2, also wanted to say thanks for your posts. Will help me if ever I think that I can have a few days off from the sobriety thing (no way, Jose AV).

Love hearing where your mind is today, TWTOM! Keeps reminding us that the bad junk will change. You're starting to get used to the ups and downs, it seems- and great job on day 22! odaat
