Sober 50th Birthday!
Well, today is my birthday! The Big Five-Oh! I find myself mildly surprised to still be alive!
Back in my drinking days I held it as a self-evident truth that I'd never live to that age. It would seem I have outlived the warranty! Certainly I'd never have made it if I hadn't quit drinking, and I probably never would have quit without SR.
So than you my SR peeps! It can be done, I am living proof. No matter how bad things or how long you've been drinking, every day on the green side of the lawn is a chance to change things for the better.

50th is a big one, and I know what you mean. I never planned on reaching thirty.
I was kind of lost when I did. So I kept on drinking.
So glad you didn't make that choice. The world needs you.

I'd give anything to go back to 50 again.
