Hello
I had balance problems for years . I thought it was from drinking . Turns out I had 100% blockage in a femoral and iliac artery . I had a stent put into the iliac artery and the femoral had to be cut open and cleaned . I only had 50% blood flow to right leg . Next week I get a test to see what blood flow is . I don't mean to bore you people .
Hi NONIA. Sounds like you've got some health challenges which I'm sure makes quitting booze much more difficult. About a thousand times over 3 decades I tried to cut down but it just never worked for me. I sensed that the time was soon to be upon me that I would quit or die. So I quit even in the midst of several severe health problems. Regardless of the cause, drinking was making all of those physical things worse each day. I hope you can give it up for good Nonia. And you are anything but boring.
You're missing half the science there NONIA
Drinking at the levels we alcoholics do can, over time, really harden the arteries too.
I think you should be totally honest with your Dr,

At levels of initial intoxication, alcohol works as a vasodilator, causing blood vessels to relax and expand. However, at extremely high levels, alcohol works as a vasoconstrictor, causing veins to tighten and constrict. Both of these conditions can negatively affect your blood pressure.
