Have TKR surgery in month and have to kick suboxene

I came across this group looking for advice on how to taper off suboxene .. I’ve been on 16 mg for 5 years after dealing with proscription pill addiction .. subs helped me get my life back but now it seems like they have taken it over .. I Have a Total knee Replacement surgery in a month and When I told my Doctor he just said “ well just quit taking it 3 days before your surgery and you’ll be fine “... I already know that’s not gonna work so I’ve started weening myself off. I went from 16 mg to 4 mg and yes I’m having withdrawals but being a single father of a busy active in sports 14 year old I can’t just lay in bed I have to work and I have to take care of him .. Basically I’m scared to death and overwhelmed but all I know to do is kick and I have a month to do it...

Hi and welcoem Deek

I have no experience with subs I'm afraid.

You might like to also read a little in this forum tho -

https://www.soberrecovery.com/forums...tenance-detox/

you might find something, or some people, to help you there

Good luck with the subs and the surgery.
D

Welcome to the family. I hope you can get off the subs and have a successful knee surgery.
