As always, you talk while I sleep.

The light is just starting to show on the river - it's all black shadows and grey for the moment.

My thought for the day calendar says to me this morning, "I will remind myself that all worry is for nothing."

I think I need to tattoo that somewhere.

Sober Sundays are delicious. Join us, won't you?

Good morning, sunny day here. Sun just waking up. I get up way earlier than when I was drinking. 7:00am yesterday and 8:30 am today. Last night I was startled by screaming in the night. It was people just partying being loud outside my window. I was scared at first. Then I realized it’s just some drunk people. I wasn’t mad, I felt sorry for them. Well I’m going to get coffee and to the gym, have a great day. Btw 5 weeks for me today 🌻

Mariposa, Congratulations on 5 weeks, brilliant

Kaily, great photos. Nice to see the swans friendly! Lol.

Bim, good saying on your calendar. I think we all need to heed those words sometimes.

Congratulations on your 5 weeks Mariposa. I love seeing milestones announced on the thread.

Today, I finaly start painting ceiling and walls. Most parts anyway, I still have a couple of areas with repairs in progress.

Have I mentioned how much I dislike sanding drywall patch? That's sorta why I've been draggin' my heals the past couple of days. Mud, wait to dry, sand, clean up, mud, wait to dry, sand, clean up repeat ad nauseam. I don't have good drywall skills so it takes me longer than necessary.

Well done, mariposa. Congratulations.

Vman, ugh to anything drywall. My husband and I tried to hang our own at one time. What a disaster. Hanging it wasn’t all that bad but the spackling, taping and sanding was far, far beyond our skill level. We had a friend who was a professional drywall guy who, after laughing hysterically at our work, took pity on us and made it look presentable.

Quite an end to the Kentucky Derby yesterday!

And, yes, I am a Class of 2019 Wound Care graduate. Woooo Hooo!

A Blessed Sunday to all.

Nice photos Kaily, the setting looks idillic.

Congrats mariposa! 5 weeks is fabulous.

Way to go Dragon. I have a few DIY issues that I keep putting off, so I feel a bit guilty to be honest.

Such a relief to be spending a Sunday evening sober, watching IPL cricket, warming up leftovers for dinner and in general just winding down.

Kaily, what gorgeous photos from your morning walk. Thank you.

And, oooops, I meant to say “Dragon - ugh to anything drywall”!

Congratulations on 5 weeks mariposa!

Great pics Kaily. I sometimes jog or walk down to the River Lea. At the muddy end by the Olympic Park.

Love the photos, kaily.

The one of the weir at once made me think of this passage from Kenneth Grahame's The Wind in the Willows:

...A wide half-circle of foam and glinting lights and shining shoulders of green water, the great weir closed the backwater from bank to bank, troubled all the quiet surface with twirling eddies and floating foam-streaks, and deadened all other sounds with its solemn and soothing rumble. In midmost of the stream, embraced in the weir's shimmering arm-spread, a small island lay anchored, fringed close with willow and silver birch and alder...

Another shame and regret free weekend. Two long naps, three workouts, eating healthy and house work. Not very eventful but this early in sobriety I’m glad for routine and no drama. Whoever recommended Reign, thank you. I’m about to finish season 1.

another weekend come and going. Once I graduate, with honors, (sober day April 15th) May, I guess I will only be on the ever evolving weekend threads, yay!
My basketball team, which I have fully immersed myself in in the 2nd round of Playoffs tied their series at 2 all this afternoon. It was another thriller...but it's back home on Tuesday, and leave it to Bieber and/or Drake to curse the game by gracing us with their presence.

I feel much better having put up a couple of coats of paint. It's finally starting to look like it's taking shape.

I'm not expecting to sleep well tonight. I had 5 big cups of coffee today, where I normally have a mug of tea and maybe a regular coffee.

Howdy weekenders. I'm relaxing and Billie is using the Twilight Bark to communicate with the neighborhood dogs.
