Welcome Karenjean,

I'm glad you found us.

I hope you do whatever you need to do to get back on track with your sobriety. Maybe you could try a women only AA group to avoid any problems?

Hi and welcome, From what I know about AA meetings the men are supposed to stay with the men and the women with the women.

Very wise advise. People are very vulnerable, aside from that youre a married woman.

Not a judgement, just a caution because marriages go through alot during active alcoholism AND the recovery process.

Imo, that just adds an additional issue on top of everything else.

Im hoping your friend is a newcomer because if not he certainly doesnt seem to have much respect for you or the program.

Im going on a month alcohol and anxiety med free.
This forum has been a great resource.

Best wishes for your healing!

Welcome

I'm sorry things are tough right now but they will get better. I believe in the one day at a time, work on today and don't worry about tomorrow. In the beginning going to bed sober was my goal for the day and it worked for me. If it took two meeting and fifteen texts and a phone call or two, I went to bed sober.
So jump right in, everyone here wants you to succeed!

Welcome to the family. I too would suggest women only meetings if the men are getting too friendly.

Welcome Karen - you'll find a lot of support here

I'm not an AAer but yeah - a womens meeting might help you with that one particular problem?
