Thank you, Mags.

I've splurged on new shoes (well, "splurged" is kind of an overkill. I just bought another pair of nice shoes to add up to my own one), so system ready for a good date under nice weather.

I will send some sunshine to our British friends)

Nice to see everyone it's a hive of activity here.
Beautiful weather here also. Got out the wood primer and stain this morning. Now got to clean the hands, arms, face and hair
We baked English scones (with currants) again last night for breakfast today. I had no fine grain salt so I used some of that bigger sea salt stuff. You know the combination of the sugar and salt was just the bees knees. Delicious.

I missed about two weeks so I'm not up to speed. Sorry. I will try.

Have a great day weekenders.

Hi Vman, send some scones our way!

I didn't sleep as well as I expected, but I slept. Fingers are a but stiff this morning, but everything else still seems OK. Gotta loosen up my hands tho, today we are doing a Ukulele earth day flashmob. Then later taking an easter basket to church for blessings.

Yikes, Captain. Animals 'round the house while in the bush in Africa. That could be problematic, yeah?

I liked the long post Dragon, well done on letting go.

Scones. Mmm.

I'm having shrimp and cheesey grits and salad for breakfast. I think I ate too much bread and pizza yesterday. Need more vegetables, less wheat.

Ahhhh. Quiet. Yesterday they removed my door - for the fourth time. Fercryinoutloud get it together on this construction, eh?

A beautiful sunny day. I went out walking early before it got to hot for the dogs, Alfie had a swim whilst Matilda being 18 just looked on, then we wandered around the forest.

Nice to see you back posting Vman ~ and I especially like those tempting looking scones.

Look forward to seeing your holiday pics Captain.

Signing in for the weekend. Is Saturday 16:50. Normal weekend here - not easter! so lucky - I have only 2 days to get through!! and 2 weeks sober tomorrow morning. I think weekend is hardest time for me and also I read for some others, so it is nice to have weekend thread !! -

In the future I am sure I will have more of a life, but for now in early days I am adding up the sober days and pulling through. Keeping busy is good for me.

Thanks.

Lol! Andy

Sunny England indeed 25C or 77F today, not too shabby.

I found out my youngest daughter joined some climate change protestors in London last week. I bet she forgot to mention to them that she once owned a Ford Mustang and briefly a 28 year old Porsche, admittedly that one was a non runner. I'm surprised as she's usually quite cynical, something she inherited from her mum.

Saou, I saw that on the news about the protestors! Your daughter has maybe turned over a new leaf!

Well it's one thing to give lip service to the poor warming planet, quite another to walk everywhere, hang clothes outdoors to dry, not over-consume and stop eating cheeseburgers.

I try. I do what I can. I'll recycle, and I buy used stuff whenever I can. I don't buy bottled water.

But I'm keeping my nightlights and my car.

Hi everyone
I've missed loads and have no chance of catching up so will just say happy weekend to all the weekenders new and old.
I'm away on an all inclusive holiday and doing my best to try and relax... long story short... my father passed away suddenly a couple of months back and my sibling is being highly toxic.
I'm totally broken, my father was my world.
Being surrounded by drinkers is ok.... it's just when Mr P drinks that I get a bit twitchy... same old same old...
Oh well... I will mindfully sip my black tea and black coffee, with the odd lime and soda thrown in.
Big hugs to you all.
Xxx

What's up weekend warriors. Just checking in 4pm this sunny afternoon. About to hit the gym for a swim and then catch the NBA playoffs. Back soon, because I'm staying close! lol
