Greetings and love, all.

I really miss not being able to be here on a regular basis and to keep up but I think of, and pray for, all of you every day.

It’s the eve of another weekend. Let’s make it a Sober one.

A very Blessed Easter to all.

So pretty, Kaily! We are still a few weeks away from blossoms on trees here.

I have a bit of a conundrum. Ukulele classes are breaking until the fall and I wanted to take some voice lessons in that time. But an opportunity has come up to take a class with a lutheir who recenlty relocated and opened up a studio. It's limited to only five people and it's expensive. I'd be building my own uke and I'd get so much knowledge out of. Not only work working skills but I'd learn fret work care and maintenance and setup.

But, it's expensive and he'll probably run more classes in the future. I would love to learn those skills but it can wait. Plus I have three ukes already. Vocal lessons would be put to good use right away as I'm out with the club singing three, four or more times a month. They would help build my performace confidence. And who knows? Busking maybe? That would be fun.

Looks like I've got to make a pro/con list...
I took voice lessons and it really helped with my confidence and vocal range and quality. Breathing right is so important, so yes, I think that's a good thing to get early.

On the other hand, I would check with the luthier if he will be offering that course again because if it is a one-shot opportunity, I would find the money and pay it to learn something like that.

I would love to know how to make and maintain and modify an acoustic instrument. It's like getting know a new partner-what they like, what they don't, and how to work best together

Wish I lived close to you Kaily. I'd be showing up with a big tin of tea and lovely fresh milk. to add to it.

And my own fork and large plate. . .

Hi, weekenders.

So nice to see all of you ready for sober long holidays.

Kaily - Gorgeous picture!

Dragon - I've been thinking about voice lessons too, but more in a "I would love to do it if I have some spare money (a lot of spare money)". I think it would help to unbrace my jaw muscles and make better use of my naturally low voice. Maybe, one day...

As I already bragged on the previous thread I got paid for my both gigs, got two good reviews, and almost accidentally landed another one, did it, got paid, got another good review.

It's so great to see some cash in the wallet again!

Probably I will take tomorrow off to access where I am standing and take some care of myself. We'll see.

Good night, weekenders!

P.S. BTW, where's Vinny?

whoop whoop - Happy Long Weekend UK weekenders!

& happy Thursday to everyone else.

the full moon was looking rather splendid over the Thames & the Shard on my way home tonight, so here's a fairly terrible picture of it:

this weekend I shall be doing what I choose to do & not what alcohol chooses for me.

I hope VMan posts soon too.

I also checked the moon tonight to see if it was blue because I won at crazy golf for the first time for several months. The fact that I hadn't drunk anything was more of a factor than usual.

Nice pic Andy. Whenever I catch a glimps of the Shard at night I am always reminded of the Tower of Barad-dur and Sauron's eye.
