Hello everyone!!!

I hope everyone is doing good and fightimg the good fight! I have 24 days sober today! Im about to get ready for work and it feels so wonderful to face the day sober and without a hangover! I have tried and failed many many times in the past and i thought i was a hopeless case but this time i'm really doing it! One day at a time, for sure. I nearly lost my job 25 days ago and was given another chance....it wasnt the 1st time i almost lost my job but it is the last. I have been going to 4 AA meetings per week on my lunch break and am finding that very helpful. I have an appt for out patient treatment tomorrow and am looking forward to it. I get on here and read daily and everyones posts help me to stay focused. But most importantly. I find praying every morning and asking God to take away the obsession to drink for today helps the most. Thank you all for all the support you give everyone! Its amazing! God bless you all!

Wow! Thanks for the morning inspiration.
It sounds like you're doing all the right things and congratulations on twenty four days.
Keep it up, you're doing great.
Thanks for making my day!

Thank you so much, Ghostlight! Now I know what people mean by you have to work at it. Im making changes in all areas that needed changing and its not even that hard! Its just baby steps really. There have been cravings but since its not an option for me to drink, the uncomfortable feelings pass and i move on. Before, without totally realizing it, i was still hanging on to "im still gonna drink...just not that much". I approached it this way over and over again. Thats just not possible for me. The giving up on that idea has opened me up to a whole new world! Also, I had been struggling with depression for quite awhile, and that has seemed to much improved, especially within these last two weeks. Removing the depressant of alcohol and doing the next right thing each day seems to be working wonders for me. Much love and peace to you!

Wow! Twenty-four days without a drink and four AA meetings a week.

My son has 51 days without a drink. He's just gotten a sponsor, and he's a different man. He's so proud of himself, and I'm one proud and grateful mama.

Congratulations to you. You've just made my day. Thank you for sharing this with us.
