Day 6
Hi there. It's time. Enough is enough. Let me introduce myself. I'm 45 but feel 85. I've been a daily drinker for about 10 years. Wine was my choice of poison. Last October I decided to have a break from the poison. After a few uncomfortable days I felt great. So great that I thought one drink wouldn't hurt. Lesson learned. I can't have just one. This past week everyday I feel worse. I was expecting the opposite. I'm excited for a sober future. I've learned a lot by reading here and thought it was about time I join. Bring on day 7.

Thanks D and congrats on 7 days Confusedguy.
I've had 2 baths and slept all day today. Waste of a perfectly good Saturday but better days ahead. At least I'm not hungover. I'm always hungry now. Which is a good thing. I love food and could do with some extra kgs on my bones. Roast for dinner.
Hope everyone has a great night/day.

Day 7 and feeling a bit better. My headache has eased and my back is not as sore. I'm off to the shops to buy some fruit. I've always bragged how I didn't have a sweet tooth and always skipped dessert but since cutting wine out it's hit me with a vengeance. I'm scoffing lollies by the bag full. It's early days but I don't want to form other bad habits.
All the best to everyone on this journey.
