I have attempted to reproduce posts, but my old lap top is doing very strange things- the last straw being it started talking back to me- which it has never do]ne in 3y...so easier (for me) to do this in a stand alone...just for this time

Brief back/g - 28/8/15 I - because of a booze blackout, got 4th degree (charred bone) burns to 20% of my body. Revived 3 times, dialysis, 20 procedures- multiple general a's, ketamine- hallucinations and screaming a lot.

Now- second longer than one night stay in Burns Unit- in new Hospital, surgery number 2, corrective right hand surgery with 4 x 2 cm graft. 10 hours notice to fast, get admitted, processed, operated on, all over...stay under obs until Monday.

No sleep now since Wed, now Friday 1750. Last night I painted, wrote and shared a lot about communication, connection and forgiveness- WITH ACTION.....I missed my sons and ex a lot- they cut me out of their lives on 28/8/15.I was sad and lonely.


Today- lots of fuss from staff- who I know as a professional family now- they showered wonderful feedback on me, then a visit from a cousin I spent Xmas with her and her family- gettingcloser and a real friendship is evolving

Then a visit from a friend who was I[n recovery with me- she works I[n the ho]spital and spent her 2 minute lunch- about half a mile of walking - across different levels

Then an Uncle and Aunt rang

Then a friend - from meetings, visited

Then my old recovery program rang.

And a few actually coming back! I did not scare them off. And they came because they wanted to, not out of distorted family obligation. [

Perhaps I am not the bad human I believe myself as being...

I almost feel happy

I ALWAYS am grateful for being alive...with ti[me to grow and heal.

So thank you all at SR who tolerate me and give me support, by being here.

The pic is blurred and my face screened for global security concerns...… the hand is swaddled in bandages, capsuled in a custom splint- guided into a padded collar and cuff sling..akey, but ok


Seeing as the donor site- about 2 x 4cm at least is in the inner thigh- that is being kept under cover for the reasons of stuff

thanks to all who are there for me, it has made a huge diff


this admit almost fun....

pain is manageable...the itching, despite a/histamines is so intense..somebody needs to do something about this stuff

Well I do have a cuz- she has bought in barista coffee each vcisit- no choc biccies- cornflake...healing happening well.
