It started out tough today 😣
Heyyyy everyone,
Today started out really tough for me, I woke up with a horrible feeling of nervousness, a feeling in the pit of my stomach that something bad was going to happen 😱 I couldn't shake it for awhile, so instead of letting it fester I pulled on my trainers, an marched, I marched untill my calves an thighs were screaming. It felt good to get out into the country side, head phones in, music pumping, blood pumping and slowly I felt my self unravel, I exhausted myself. For me thats good, I clear my mind of stupid thoughts and fears. I'm now sitting content, sober an strong again.
The power of fresh air and exercise is priceless.
I hope everyone is ok, and doing all that they can to get well. It's a tough ole road that's for sure. But we will do it together
Much love, hope and strength to those who need it
Doris 🙏💖

I'm so glad you're taking good care of yourself & getting back on track.
Walking really helped me in the early days too. I'd even walk around the house if the weather was bad - just to keep moving & shake off the jitters.
Proud of you, Doris.

Morning 😃 and thanks to all for replying, it's a beautiful day today, I slept so well last night. Today I feel settled and together.
I definitely recommend exercise, I'm now getting back to fitness again. I'm ready for it. It helps clear my mind 😃
I now do 4 various classes a week.
Circuits x 2
Pilates x1
Extreme x1
As you all know I've been on the road of 'recovery' I hate that term. Since Christmas with a couple of bad choices to pick up a drink for an evening. So I'm ready to add more tools into my basket. Exercise being one. I think the last time I picked up a drink, made me learn where I was going wrong, so I'm treating it as a valuable lesson. In which to tweak my plan of getting better.
8days into being back on the bus. Toot toot
Let's do this 😃
Much love as always

Exercise was and is pivotal to my ongoing recovery! I still sometimes procrastinate when I need to get out for a walk etc but it never fails to make me feel better and quiet my whirring mind!
Glad your feeling positive and adding more tools to your toolbox, you can never have too many tools!!
Enjoy the awesome weather today in the U.K. Can’t believe we have been lucky enough to have this kind of weather over a bank holiday...that just never happens, especially in the North lol. Have a great day Doris and keep up the good work xx

My wife and I were on our farm briefly a couple of days ago, and it was quite serene and inviting.
It will even be prettier when our planter gets this year's cotton crop planted.
But the (highly spoiled) donkeys and the angus cattle looked great, too.

That is so great, Doris! Exercise, especially running, is key to my sobriety. Yoga and meditation as well as practicing daily gratitude are really helpful. Keep at it. You are doing great!
Well done Doris.
Getting out to clear your head works a treat.
I did it yesterday when things were getting a bit heated and it put everything back in place. And as a bonus I saw a pair of bullfinches and a black cap singing it’s song.
Well done for catching it early, good skills!
