Hey guys, just wanted to say thanks for being there until now for me. It's made me feel not alone in this quest to start afresh without alcohol. 2 days ago was my darkest day, so much anxiety and crying/sadness. I am trying to take each day as it comes with no expectations. I even sat across from my friend who had a beer at dinner (I drank a non-alcoholic softdrink). To be honest, I didn't feel I was missing out on anything. I did notice, he tended to listen a bit less to me as he started drinking. I definitely listened more! He's still a good friend. It was interesting being on the other side. I'm not going to do that again anytime soon (sit across from someone drinking alcohol), but I'm glad I could.
