I agree, keep posting CG. I joined my "Class of March" thread and posted there every day, sometimes several times per day - and I read lots and lots of posts. No such thing as posting too much or reading too much. There is a deep well of wisdom and care on this site. It's a fantastic resource.

I have just done this. I don't know if it helps but I have pinned it next to my calendar on the wall. I have a whole side of paper. It sounds silly like 'I am grateful i have enough food in kitchen'. ' I am grateful I have a kitchen'. and so on.. I stopped after 1 sheet of paper. But it does make me think and life could be ok.

My gratitude list today goes like this:-
1. I am grateful to be going to bed clean and sober.
2 i am grateful to be alive.
3. I am grateful to have been given a 2nd chance at life
4. I am grateful I did not need to drink today
5 I am grateful I have a warm bed to sleep in tonight.
6. I am grateful I am a sober and present mummy for my daughter today
7. I am grateful for SR and everyone here, for sharing their struggles and their triumphs alike.
I could go on and on. I have a lot to be grateful for today.
Thank you for sharing confused guy, you have helped keep me sober.
I hope you get a good night's sleep or at least as much rest as you can. Tomorrow is a new day x x

Got Day 2! - Just waking up - slept for some hours which is good. Day 2 and it's over 6 hours into day 3. Going to sleep a lot I think, although I am awake it is 09:28 and I ust want to go back to sleep. But I will get some water and some porridge first and send email to work saying Im not feeling well. Then sleep as much as possible. Seems like more I sleep, the more I want to sleep right now!... Hopefully go to work tomorrow.
Just checking in! - It is 21:45 here and tonight I will make day 3.
Feeliing lot better than Saturday, slept a LOT today, but also I am seeing doctor tomorrow for blood test. I decided I want to do this and whatever the results are I will not drink. But of course I am worried.
Also I did some cleaning, not much but it is a start. Washing machine going most of day while I was sleeping. Ate some food in the morning and just ate some yoghourt and some chocolate.
And tonight at 03:00 I make day 3 !. I still have some pain and I am not afraid to say I am scared of having tests. Also getting hot and cold a lot, shaky-ness has seemed to settled, and felt really low for a while today. But now Im feeling positive. I found there is an AA meeting at weekend, I will try this - if it is not for me then I have at least tried it. I am going to try and add 6 things every night to the gratitude list I have. I've learned so much in a few days from people here, and I know if it wasnt for you then I wouldnt be here now.
