It's been 11 days since my last drink. The first 5 days were utterly awful, particularly the first three. Each day got a little better, though, and I hung in there.

After numerous relapses over the years, I can say first hand that recovering from each one gets harder and harder. This is the progressive nature of alcoholism.

I'm back at the gym, working out, reading books, listening to music, doing so many things that alcohol took from me. I am grateful and appreciative for so much in my life.

How quickly things can change with the gift of sobriety.

Well done. Isnt it awful when the recovery gets worse each time. It would be so nice to not have to that in our lives anymore! Keep going

Just think, you never have to go through a hangover again.
