Hello. Heard this might be helpful. Struggled with eating disorders for years, now alcohol has become problematic. Deciding to make some major changes in my life. Just seeing if this means of support might help me in doing so!
Thanks much!
Thanks much!
I feel you.
I have always had a problematic relationship with food as well as alcohol.
Interestingly, as many people find their bottom with alcohol when they are very sick because of it, I found the same with food.
Don't get there!

Welcome BuffyDog. Although most of us haven't struggled with a diagnosed eating disorder as you have had to, many of us struggle with all things that can be abused, food chief among them for many. I think the support you get here will be useful in all parts of your behavioral life. I think with us addicts, it is all about lack of impulse control. I've quit drinking so many times and when I fall off the wagon it always takes but a moment to rationalize using again. The impulse is what I've had to tame. I am the Class of November 2018 this time. Find your class and post there too. Dee, our wise moderator in chief, starts a new class every month for solidarity and support. Here's to your health BuffyDog.

Thank you so much for all the kind welcomes!
This is such a great resource that I'm very glad to have available.
Making steps forward in dealing with consequences of the smack in the face life gave to me. Feels better than hiding/shutting down/freezing/isolating. Sure is hard though.
5 days sober. Continuing to balance food and exercise and stay away from extremes.
Thanks Everyone!
