You can give up on me
Press,
You are here and posting, that is not someone who wants to give up, that's someone reaching out for help, and I truly believe admitting you need help is the bravest thing you can do.
I also joined in 2012, and after several attempts also riety, and then failed attempts at moderation I finally got it right. I took my last drink I December 31, 2015. I was on here the next day, and have been every day since. I read,it's of recovery books, no put what I learned into action, I really worked I'm, and continue to work on mindfulness. I feel being in the moment, and only dealing with the present moment has been the biggest part of my recovery.
You can do this. What have you tried that's worked? Start there and then layer in other supports. You can do this, and sobriety is worth it. YOU are worth it.
Nobody here is giving up on you.
❤️Delilah

Those of us here on the site know exactly how you feel. I've tried to quit drinking seriously for 20 years. It is still really difficult for me. I just take it one hour at a time.
It is difficult for all of us. What matters is if you have the desire to stop drinking. Do you want to be free of the addiction to alcohol?

All your responses make me feel like I'm not alone. I took the naltrexone this morning. I was thinking alot about drinking on it today but I didn't. I found a meeting to go to. They gave me numbers and some little grapevine magazines. It's almost 11. I'm going to bed soon. I hate myself. I hate drinking. It makes me miserable. Tomorrow I'll see if I can get another sponsor. I don't have much faith it will help but I gotta try. Please God or whatever, help me. I'm just gonna do 3 things tomorrow: naltrexone, a meeting and post here. Goodnight.
